This will be a shorter post, as not too much went on today. Class was pretty boring, we had a guest teacher talking to us about travel writing and doing some exercises. She was okay, but not the best. My legs are a little sore from all the hiking and step climbing yesterday, but I'm hoping they'll be fine by the time I do my bridge climb on Saturday. The weather isn't quite cooperating with me because it originally said showers on Saturday, with lots of rain on Sunday, so I booked the climb for Saturday, but now there's no rain on Sunday (just lots of sunshine) and still showers on Saturday. Grrrrr. Hoping it turns in to no rain at all! Fingers crossed!
After class I ran to the grocery to get pasta sauce, salt, and pepper, because after three nights of pasta without these three essential things, I was becoming a very unhappy eater. Never appreciated how much I love salt and pasta sauce until tonight! Everything tasted so much better, woohooooo!
While Mariah was making her dinner, we did have our very first false fire alarm though! Luckily, we were able to press the false alarm button and clear out all the smoke before it went off again (Mariah got the window, Sian got the door, and Shea and I ran around with notebooks waving them around like lunatics) , so no $700 fine for her! Life is good! This kitchen is crazy, cause her food wasn't even burnt, and the fan vent above the stove had been on the whole time. Oh well!
and called the fire department.
After dinner we decided to watch The Hills Have Eyes, which was just okay. It probably would have been a lot scarier had Veronica not been freaking out in the corner the whole time, to the great amusement of us all. Poor thing was so scared she made Sian walk her home (despite the fact she lives one door down) and stay with her while she got ready for bed, and turn her light off for her. Hopefully she'll be able to get some sleep, but I have a feeling she's going to psych herself out all night!
Other than that it was very uneventful! Tomorrow we've got our make-up class and pre-departure meeting for our road-trip, but then we'll finally be off for the weekend! Weeee! Some of the girls are heading to Surf Camp, so it'll be weird to only have two of us in the apartment, rather than four. Hope you all are having lovely mornings! I should have more interesting things to talk about tomorrow, and definitely Saturday after my climb!
