Uneventful but very relaxing day yesterday. I slept in for a bit in the morning, and then did a bit of work while drinking lots of hot chocolate since I realized I have way too many hot chocolate packets left for how many days I have left. So it's been a lot of hot chocolate over the past couple days. Then a friend and I went down to Watson's Bay to get some fish and chips, and just walked around the area and neighborhood, taking in the scenery all over again. It's crazy how gorgeous this place is, especially on such a nice day! Sydney was looking amazing across the harbour and you could see out really far into the ocean, and could even see some oiling ships right on the horizon. Doyle's was crowded, but we managed to get our fish and chips and then sat in the park while we ate them, which was quite nice, even though we were circled by some hungry seagulls. Yikes.
After we headed back into the city, as it was starting to look a bit rainy and we didn't want to get caught on the ferry in a downpour. We walked around the harbour for a bit, and then decided to go to the movies and see Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Crazy how expensive the movies are when it's not a Tuesday, I don't know how Australians ever go to the movies on a regular basis. The theatre is so much comfier than the ones in America though, the seats are huge and super comfortable, there's more leg room than you can imagine, and the armrests are huge and plush so there's no fighting for elbow space. Awesomeeee! The movie itself was entertaining, lots of special effects, I can't imagine how big their budget must have been.
After that I came back and had dinner, and then the girls from our group who'd gone to Melbourne came back, so we caught up with them for a bit and then headed to bed! Really starting to get sad about how much time I have left in Sydney, I'm not ready to leave at all. Trying to make the most of the time I have left now!
