Good morning all! Sorry I didn't have time to put up my latest blog post about the last week, I had to finish up my creative writing story. I'm off to Uluru now, which is a large, sandstone rock in the middle of the country in the Northern Territory. The site is sacred to the Anangu, the Aboriginal people of the area, so I'm excited to learn about their culture and see some of the Outback. The area around it has spring, hiking paths, water holes, rock caves, and ancient paintings, so it should be a really great time. Not to mention the night sky is going to be absolutely phenomenal while we're out here. I decided to make sure I made it out here after my friend from Sydney (the one I'm meeting up with on Monday when I get back) explained how important it is to Australian culture and spirit in general, The flight is almost three hours long, and I'm not sure if I'll have internet at the hotel, but I'll keep my blog going and post them when I get back if I have to!
PS. Happy 4th of July from Australia!!
